Leopard iCal: calendar refresh not working?
sjlee says:
Since I installed Leopard on my mac, I'm having problems refreshing RTM calendars subscribed on iCal.
When the calendars refresh, it appears to succeed (no error indication), but the to-do list does not refresh.
Has anyone run into this issue? I checked the console for any errors, but I do not see anything that indicates a problem. I tried recreating the subscription but it doesn't seem to help. The initial refresh works, but stops working later.
Thanks,
Sangjin

I'm having the same issue. If I resubscribe to my todo's, they won;t even show up now.

Mine actually disappeared, there were there, then when I refreshed them for the first time, they all went away

It seems like the new iCal in Leopard is a little flaky on iCalendar subscriptions. Hopefully Apple will get this fixed in the next update, but in the meantime, these steps might help:
1) When you subscribe, make sure that 'Remove To-Dos' is not checked.
2) Once subscribed, right (ctrl) click on your calendar and click 'Refresh'.
3) An 'Alert' icon appears next to the calendar. Click the Alert and enter your RTM login details.
4) RIght (ctrl) click the calendar and click 'Refresh'. Tasks should now be showing.
If you continue to experience problems, please let us know. We'd be happy to investigate further if you can contact us with your iCalendar URL, the steps that you're taking in iCal, and what's happening in iCal.
Thanks!

I'm getting a similar problem. The to do isn't re-freshing properly. It works initially when I recreate the calendar (yes I am following the correct directions), but then stops removing completed tasks. It does add new tasks, though....

I'm having the same problem.
It succeeds only first time subscribing, and does not work after that all...

We've investigated further, and it does appear to be an issue in iCal -- hopefully Apple will have this fixed soon. Sorry we can't do more to help from our end!

It wasn't working for me, but after following the instructions and clicking on the alert and re-entering my account information (which was blank) it all worked fine again.
Thanks!

Actually, scratch that last comment. It did make them start working but they don't refresh even though the little refresh icon runs then stops.
Here's hoping that an iCal fix comes out soon...

Same problem. Fixes do not work.

Same here. Events work fine but todo lists do not.

Still having the issue. Fix has been to resubscribe to the calendars. Does this have to do with the changes in Leopard re: how iCal data is cached, as individual .ics files in a tree rather than a single corestorage.ics file? I wonder if iCal doesn't recognize that the events in the feed have changes - I'm not sure how this is indicated in the feed.

I may delay upgrading to Leopard until Apple fixes this.

Had the same problem, but Emily's fix fixed it. You get a little alert icon next to the RTM calendar, and have to click on it and put in log-in details - every time...
