How long do emailed tasks take to appear on average?

I sent one to myself nearly 30 mins ago, but it hasn't arrived yet.

Thanks, G.

I guess it's never going to arrive: It's 5 hours overdue:-(

I'll have a check tonight when I get home.

It should appear in your account within one minute of reaching the RTM email address. We're not aware of any current issues with this feature. Hope this helps.

Okay still not working. This is what I am doing/done.

First set GMail to forward emails from me, to me and with TODO as the subject line to 'graham.reeds+XXXXXX@rmilk.com'.

The test email I am using is:
T: Test
S: computers
D: Sat
L: Personal

To put the task Test into Personal list with the tag of computers and the due date of Saturday.

The filter section of Gmail says this:
Do this: Forward to graham.reeds+XXXXXX@rmilk.com, Skip Inbox, Apply label "GTD"

It's not happening. What have I missed?

Excuse me for breaking in: Have you tried to send tha task directly to RTM and not through Gmail?

graham.reeds says:
No. I used to send myself a TODO email, so I would know when I started my computer at home that I have something todo. So I simply added the forwarding rule to forward it to RTM.

Graham, unfortunately we're not receiving any emails from you -- would it be possible to check your forwarding with Gmail? I'm not 100% sure, but I don't know if Gmail's forwarding works for emails that you send to yourself, from yourself. As rajjan suggested, it may be worth trying to send the email directly as well (this will confirm if the Gmail forward isn't working). Hope this helps!

It would appear that GMail doesn't forward emails to itself, which I think is a bug.

You could get an interesting eternal forwarding that way I guess, the only way to get up to that magic 3,475 GB ;-)
