Google Calendar With Link and Updates

It may be worth confirming that you have /events/ in the URL, that it is indeed the Events feed you mention. That is the only one that will work in Google Calendar.
Assuming that though, it's possible that it's not updating as quickly as necessary to notice changes. Google Calendar doesn't offer a manual refresh, and can take up to 24 hours to update a feed.
