Task Heirarchy and having a type of task that RTM will recall
andrew.willment says:
Is it possible to have a task that needs to have multiple tasks complete to become completed for it to be finished?
So if I have to do Task A, but Task A requires that Task B, C and D are done, is there a way to have B C and D under A?
If it is possible to set up that complex task A with all of the requirements, could I then save that A so when the A comes up again then I could just recall that type of task and just edit some details.
For example, if I had to get together a certain group of papers together for someone for a pamphlet, I could name the task Pamphlet and the tasks that were required to do under pamphlet would be Paper B, Paper C, Paper D, and Schedule. When I finished all of those, then I would be able to say that Pamphlet was done.
From there, is it possible to save Pamphlet so that I can recall it and then make it Pamphlet for X, then when I need another one, instead of setting up the whole thing again, could I have it saved somewhere.
I could also have a template task that I could copy then rename, could I do that if saving isn't really possible?

Andrew, it's not possible to create task hierarchies, but there may be other ways to achieve this with tagging and Smart Lists (others may have tips on this).
Yes, you could create a list of template tasks, and then select those tasks and duplicate them when you were creating a new pamphlet.
Hope this helps.
