queriquita says:
Hi,
New to RTM and not so up-to-date with the technical stuff, but i just recently got my RTM list to feed into my outlook so that i see those tasks in the right place. now, how do i get the tasks that i add on my phone that sync with outlook to go into rtm? i use plaxo and jott to keep things organized, but i'm stuck here. any suggestions?

I read the post located here: http://www.rememberthemilk.com/forums/ideas/1064/. Now I'm wondering if this is possible, since I think there's a publishing url where before maybe there wasn't. Then again, maybe there isn't a pub url now? I'm assuming that the pub url would be whatever you use to email your tasks to the list or your inbox ... but maybe i'm wrong .... Any help on this would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

PS - I think I forgot to mention that I'm using remote calendar to get my rtm tasks into outlook, but now i'm having problems getting it to sync. if i got a pro account would this work? i use the program offered by www.pocketinformant.com instead of the standard task management program that comes w/the pocket pc. also, i'm using pocket pc 2003, not mobile 5 or 6, which is why i haven't gone pro yet. ok, i think that about covers it. thanks again.

Marlita - I wish I knew more and could offer some definitive help, but I will jump in and offer a few suggestions. Perhaps others, if the see any errors on my part, will jump in and correct them.

Remote Calendar permits one to subscribe to an iCal feed in Outlook 2003, as far as I know. I think Outlook 2007 does it natively.) Emily suggests it can publish to gCal, but I never got that to work in my setup.

So I think you can use RC to bring tasks on to your handheld, but I don't think the changes you make there will then be reflected within RTM. If I understand this right, then it's not a Pro issue at all, so that wouldn't change the outcome.

Is Pocket PC 2003 different from Windows Mobile? I can never keep M$'s naming straight. I guess that means you cannot use the recently released MilkSync for WinMo?

I hope that's helpful and correct. If it's not, I hope someone else sets me straight.

Ranbarton,

Thank you so much for the effort! If what you say is true ... bummer. But at least now I know ;-) PocketPC2003 is like saying windows 2000. they now have windows mobile 5 and 6 out. MilkSync claims to work only with 5 ot 6 ... I've asked about 2003 support, but nothing yet. :-\

Thanks again for the help!!

Just wanted to mention that we're looking into 2003 support (seems like there are quite a few 2003 users out there :)

good to hear!! thanks emily :-) i called my service provider to see about upgrading ... but i'd rather just hold off to see if we can get the 2003 support working ... is there an anticipated eta for this?

emily (Remember The Milk) says:
Not sure of an ETA, sorry (we don't have set schedules for feature releases). It's definitely something that we're looking at though.
