5004 Items Remaining

keith.hannon says:
When usin RTM, the browser status bar shows:
(5004 items remaining) Downloading picture://0.static.rememberthemilk.com/img/ico/ico_recur.gif ....

The number changes as differrent actions are performed.

Can you exapain what this refers to, and does it imply the page has not been fully loaded. (I ask this because frequently the browser does not respond corectly when certain actions such as getting focus on the Tags field for a task do not work correctly)

Thanks, Keith

Keith, thanks for letting us know. Can I ask which browser and operating system you're using? It might be worth trying to clear your browser's cache (if you haven't done so already), as this can happen as the cache approaches capacity. Thanks!

Internet Explorer 6.0.28. Windows 2000.

This behaviour is not occuring today. (yet). To clear the cache, do I click "Delete Files" in the General Tab of Internet Options ?

PS very crisp application.

Hate to reopen this, but it seems that this has been occurring to me as well, on both IE and FireFox, after clearing both caches several times. The number rises when I mouse over different asks, and it is refreshed when the page is, but still builds again from there. Same gif as mentioned above, which looks to be the icon used for the repeat indicator.

Also, if I refresh the page, like I mentioned, the number will decrease dramatically, to about 15-20 items waiting, but if I instead go directly to the home page (for me http://www.rememberthemilk.com/home/colonelpanic/) without refreshing, the issue doesn't occur. Once I refresh though, it comes up. Weird!

Feel free to e-mail me if you wanted further info, and I'll see if I can find anything else out in the meantime. Thanks!
