Task URL in the Desktop App

I don't use the desktop app. Presuming it works similarly to other versions, in settings there should be an option to select the default fields you'd like.

The URL for a particular task is only available in the browser from the address bar, so it's not possible for example to right-click on a task in the desktop app and to copy the URL, etc. Sorry for the inconvenience there!

But yes, if you get the URL from the web app you can copy it into the URL field.
