smart add hotkey - not recognizing WIN + `

I love the smart add hotkey, where I can add a task wherever I am working on in Windows.... On the QWERTY keyboard layout on my Dell laptop, I have the ` key just between my tab and esc key. The shift + ` results in the ~ symbol.
Whenever I try to add the WIN + ` key as my Smart Add Hotkey, RTM Desktop recognizes it as WIN + ~
Which results in the fact that my WIN + ` keypress is not recognized :(
Is this a bug?
