iGoogle Widget 1 Day Behind

The date on the 'Today' section is always 1 day behind. I've checked my account settings, and timezone and location are correct. What else can I try?

Bryan, would it be possible to double check the timezone/location on your PC? It's important that this setting matches the one in RTM -- if you continue to experience problems, please let us know. Thanks!

Hi Emily,
The PC settings look correct. They are set to (GMT-06:00) Central Time (US & Cananda) on Windows XP SP2.
This happens on every pc I access my Google homepage on.
As a reference, the Google calendar (on the same tab as the RTM widget) highlights the correct day.
Thanks,
Bryan

Is your google timezone set right? Even though they all seamlessly link up when you're logged in, each google service has a separate login and "settings" data associated with it. For example, your gmail and google calendar might be set right.. but not your igoogle.

Yes i Google is set to -5.00 for me and my windows clock is the same -5
It's just recently i've seen this anomaly, before it worked fine!

I just recently turned on Daylight savings time and I think the problem went away

Angela: When you say iGoogle settings, are you referring to the settings available on the 'My Account' link from the iGoogle page? If so, then those are also correct and in-sync with my Windows settings.
I have DST on for Windows if that makes any difference.

Bryan, would you mind double checking your timezone setting in RTM as well (on the Settings screen)? Just need to make sure this matches the one on your PC. Thanks!

That did it, thanks so much.
BTW, it was set to GMT -05:00, and Windows/iGoogle is set to GMT -06:00. Does it make sense that those two being 1 hour off would cause the widget to be a whole day off?

Unfortunately, yes, being an hour off can cause it to display an entire day off. This happens because tasks with a due date are considered to be due at midnight starting on that day -- one hour off with a timezone mismatch, and they'll be due at 11pm the previous day (displaying early and sending reminders early too). Hope this helps!
