Google Desktop gadget not working with Vista?

Hi,
I have been using the wondrous and essential google desktop gadget with windows XP for a few months now and it's working fairly well- problems are usually resolved by logging in with Internet Explorer and/or removing and re-adding the gadget.
However, I have just got a Vista laptop and while I can add the gadget I cannot log in- nothing happens. I have logged in with Internet Explorer and checked cookie settings, but nothing seems to work. Any thoughts?
Many thanks
Jo

Jo, interesting problem :) It does seem like IE isn't sharing its cookies with the gadget in Google Desktop on Vista -- not sure if there is some security setting in IE that's preventing this.
Does anyone else have experience using the gadget with Vista?
