Email import; word wrap problems

john.records says:
Hi, I'm trying to import a bunch of tasks using the email import function.

I've tried it with OS X Mail and Gmail. With either means, I get truncated lines turned into multiple topics.

I've searched for how to turn off line wrapping in both email clients (if we can call Gmail a client), to no avail.

Advice or help is welcome! Thanks, John

Responding to my own post...

I got it to work in one of the most roundabout ways possible.

I recalled that Outlook Express enables one to set how many characters per line. I opened Parallels running XP, and opened Outlook Express. I set the characters/line to max, about 132. Then I went back to OS X and I copied the import list email address from RTM setting page, went back to Outlook Express under Parallels/XP, then pasted in the email address.

Then I went back to OS X, copied the list of tasks, went back to Parallels/XP, and pasted that into Outlook Express. Then I mailed from Outlook Express.

Not elegant, but it worked.

And I am really impressed with RTM. Love the batch functions.

John, that's quite the workaround -- I'm impressed :)

Unfortunately I'm not sure if there's any way to turn off the wrapping in either of those clients -- good question though.

Does anyone here have any tips that they can share for these clients? I know that a lot of people are using Gmail, so it's possible that there's some kind of workaround for long lines.
