How to make smartlist containing only fixed number of tasks.

If I have list A with a huge number of tasks and different repetition intervals "after completion", then is it possible to to create smartlist B, displaying for each day only some fixed N number of tasks from list A? When they are done, the number of displayed tasks for this day is decreased to zero. Next day again N number of tasks appear in B from A.
