Using Date words in Tasks while keeping on Date Detection

Is there any way to leave date detection on, but still be able to use days of the week names and times in tasks? Can I put Parentheses around them like Make sure to call on (Monday), or Paper is Due by (5:00 PM). Please advise.

The simplest way is to use quotation marks where you mention parentheses, e.g.

Make sure to call on "Monday"

or to override that with another date, e.g.

Make sure to call on Monday ^today
