"locations" map not working properly in Safari 3ß Mac

In (at least the newest) Safari, the rtm/google map does not show controls for scale, map/sat/hybrid or today/tomorrow/etc, nor does it mark existing locations. Clicking on "add location" pops up an instruction to click on the map, but when I do, nothing happens.
Searching for a location also seems to be compromised - sometimes a list of possible results pops up, sometimes an alert that the server could not be reached, but in either case, the result is never mapped.
In Firefox, all this works fine, so it does seem to be a conflict with Safari 3ß.

Also fine on the latest nightly build of WebKit (the project that feeds into Safari releases), so the problem seems very specific to the beta

ra.ro, thanks for letting us know. We'll have to see if this is a problem with the Google Maps API or RTM (or both :) We don't usually 'officially' support beta versions of browsers (as they can have quirks that aren't worked out until the final release), but we can check this out and see what's happening.
