System Hiccup?
paolog says:
Was there a system hiccup? When I got home from work (~7pm PST maybe) for a minute or so I saw the initial default task categories and none of mine. I logged out, logged back in, found again the familiar ones, but noticed I had lost at least a couple of tasks I set up a couple of hours earlier.
Maybe a backup feature would not be such a bad idea (for now I'll try to remember to export ical)
Cheers from SouCal

Or maybe I screwed up :)
Which might be more likely but still makes me wish for an auto-backup of some sort, like the wget solution in Linux that someone was suggesting...

paolog, thanks for letting us know. We didn't have a system hiccup -- please let us know if you experience any problems in the future. It may be worth clearing your cache in case this is causing a problem. Hope this helps!

Also, feel free to download the iCalendar export as often as you like :) If you'd like to set up something automatically, there are various programs and tools on different operating systems that should make this possible. You can also configure software like iCal to automatically refresh its iCalendar subscriptions to get the latest copy of your tasks.

YES, I think my browser cache might have had something to do with it.
And after doing a quick search in this forum and in help it was easy to set up a backup: basically I just created a a recurring "Backup RTM" task in RTM itself with a URL that points to my iCal download...
If I'm actually using and therefore updating RTM I will HAVE TO see that task, click on the link, and therefore download an image of my tasks.
Now, it would be nice to be able to IMPORT IT BACK... I hope you wonderful RTM people are thinking about a way to do that ;)
Thank you!
