Can iOS users create notes for tasks, it doesn’t seem possible

I tried inserting notes into a new task I created on iOS but despite seeing a notes section I was unable to add it. Any ideas

Yes, you can add a note by pressing the red '+' in a task's details; it will show the option for adding a note or a subtask there.
