not for main task list. I have hundreds of un-done tasks and thousands of completed tasks. Dont want those thousand done cluttering up my to-do's.

But for sub-tasks, that list is only 2 or 3, or even 10. Extremely manageable to see the list of things done and un-done in a single list. Even helpful for sequential or incremental work, to see the progress.
