Smart List and Search not finding task within date parameters

If I search for all tasks within x days (i.e. 14 days) and in any list, this task does not appear in the list. (No tasks appear in the list, but this is my only incomplete task with a due date.)
In addition, I have two Smart Lists set up. This task should appear in both, but appears in neither.
One Smart List is similar to the query I describe above. It is set for "all tasks due within 7 days". This task does not appear in that list.
