Changing page title using Tampermonkey(Greasemoneky)

sankaimoshi says:
Hello,

RTM's page title contains task name.
(example -> "buy milk! - Remember The Milk")
I want to delete task name from page title.
I think that if override RTM's javascript function using Tampermonkey(Greasemonkey), It can change page title.
Does anyone have a good idea?

Hi sankaimoshi,

Thanks for getting in touch. Interesting request. We don't support Tampermonkey/Greasemonkey, or other third-party apps.

You may be able to use a Chrome extension for tab management including changing names, although I'm not able to recommend any in particular.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but please do let me know if I can help in any other way.

Thanks again, Tristan.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried some Chrome extension(tab renamer) to change page title.
But, It was useless.
Certainly page title has changed, but there are original page titles in browser history.
Maybe, when RTM change page title in JavaScript, and register browser history.
This is most important for me.
Because, my computer is installed monitoring tool by my company.
This monitoring tool monitor Browser history.
There are all my tasks in browser history, so my boss can see all my action.
If it can not be solved, I have to use other task tool.
So, I trying change page title, and looking for other way.

does anyone have a good idea?

Ok thanks for that information.

Are you able to install the desktop app on PC or Mac? That would get around the browser issue, if possible.

I already have installed Windows app.
But, the monitoring tool monitor active window's title name.
Windows app's title name contains task name too.
It will not be a solution.

It looks the old app may suit your needs - it's not as useful as the newer app of course but it doesn't change the window title.

You can use our switching tool to trial it:

Let me know if it helps.
