Subtasks of Subtasks

hansn484 says:
I think this may be a glitch, but I wanted to confirm:

I have Task>Subtask>SubSubtask.

When I search for Subtask: isSubtask - the subtask shows up, but not the subsubtask.

I can work around this, just wanted to let someone know.

Hi hansn484,

The isSubtask search will return both levels of subtasks (i.e. the level 1 subtask, then its subtask).

However, what you're seeing is due to the way that parents and subtasks display.

Subtasks will only appear in a task list if their parent task it not included in that list.

This is the same case with level 2 subtasks - because the first level subtask is shown in the list, the level subtask will be "rolled up" to keep the tasks together.

Hope that helps!

One way you could find Level 2 substasks is to do a search:

isSubtask:true AND hasSubtasks:false

The only downside to this is it will reveal both level 1 subtasks and level 2 subtasks. But it will at least pull in all the level 2 subtasks.
