iGoogle Gadget doesn't stop loading

sebv says:
Since today, the iGoogle gadget constantly (i.e. forever with a ~0.5sec period) reloads and resizes vertically, which is shown also as a page reload in my browser (FF 2.0.0.3, WinXP).

Was some updated made on the resizing code recently? :)

Note: http://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/modules/googleig/ seems to work just fine when opened directly.

Thanks for letting us know.

We haven't changed anything with the gadget recently, so we're guessing this has something to do with Google's upgrades today. For anyone experiencing the problem, can I ask if you're using iGoogle on google.com or a country-specific site? We'll report this to Google and hopefully they'll have this fixed soon.

One more thing -- for anyone experiencing this problem, would you mind letting us know which other gadgets you have on iGoogle? It's possible that something is causing another gadget to interfere with the RTM one, so we'd love to check that out too. Thanks!

Hi there - i'm experiencing the problem too, both via http://www.google.co.uk/ig?hl=en and http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en

Other Gadgets on the tab are Gmail, Google Reader and Google Calendar.

Not sure if it is related but it looks like some of the Google calendar options are not showing ('show agenda' and 'add event').

Good luck with the fix - the refreshing was causing the gadget to jiggle about and was making me feel quite ill ;-)

Yep, I've got the same bug as sebv has flagged (using XP, Firefox and http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en). And the same thing that gary mentions with GCal.

I've got too many gadgets to mention really, but to make a start I can list Gcal, Gmail, Greader, Bookmarks, To-do List and Google Notebook among them.

Thanks and good luck.

Having the problem on google.com/ig.
I tried creating a tab with just the RTM module and the developer module in another column, still having the problem.

Thanks for the details, everyone.

Google are fixing this issue, so hopefully it should be working correctly again soon.

Right, I talked too soon - it was fixed for some hours then broke again.

Still knackered - anybody know if google/remember the milk are looking into this problem afresh?

emily (Remember The Milk) says:
We've been assured by Google that they're fixing it, but if it continues happening past the weekend, please let us know (we can contact them again if it's still not fixed). Thanks! :)

Same here - reloads every half second, length of box jumps up and down.

On Mac osX 10.4.9, with FFox 2.0.0.3, using

Remember The Milk
My Google Groups

--- the two following I removed, but they're still showing up on a copy paste although not visible on the screen itself - weird! - -

Weather
Date & Time
- -
Google Notebook
Google Docs & Spreadsheets
Bookmarks

- bookmarks one won't let me collapse it to just the title bar at all - the bottom outline of the div disappears, but the entry boxes stay.

I placed it in an empty tab and it still keeps reloading permanently.

Still failing. I'm using http://www.google.es/ig
Also flashes if I change that to http://www.google.com/ig

FWIW, shrinking the RTM gadget with the "(-)" icon stops the problem.

Unfortunately we're still waiting on Google to fix this, but in the meantime we've put in a workaround that should hopefully fix this behaviour. If it's still not working correctly for anyone, please let us know. Thanks!
