Want: more forgiving drag and drop

I love the idea of drag and drop, but man do I have a hard time getting it to work.

Instructions say: "When the task underneath is highlighted, release your hold to drop the task." The problem I have: it's really hard to get the parent task highlighted. What usually happens is the task I'm dragging and dropping just lands on either side of the task I'm trying to drop into.

Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?

I've done this too, my suggestion is to change the sort of the list to something other than drag and drop. That way, the only place for the task to go is onto another task and there's no reshuffling, makes for easy subtask-ing.
