Adding notes to a task with new android app

I'm probably missing something really obvious but if I add a task from the new android and then return to the task to add notes in the notes field I just cannot seem to figure out how to add notes. I can see the notes and subtasks fields but cannot add data to them.
How does this work?

I'd completely missed the obvious and didn't realise the plus symbol in the bottom right is context aware. When a task is selected clicking the plus allows adding of sub tasks and notes. I must have mentally interpreted it as add new task. Great work with the app. It looks great
