Enter custom due dates on iPad

I can no longer enter any text in a new (or newly custom) task to create a custom due date. Interestingly, if I have a task that already has a custom due date, I can modify it -but only for those tasks.
Finally, was considering upgrading to PRO, but haven't seen any update activity from this company. Are they no longer supporting this product?

In the meantime, you should be able to add a task with these details in the Add Task bar at the top, e.g.
Task name ^next Friday
