Gmail and Google Calendar Logon

Lately the RTM logon is not being remembered. I did a clean W7 install on a new computer and the same thing happens. I doubt it's an IE problem. Any fixes? I've allowed RTM to use cookies, and my Norton's has it allowed. Thanks.
