Task repeat language error on Android client
condemetrius says:
In Russian, and I believe, the same is in other versions too, I get an error when I save a repeating task. The repeat input shortens e.g. "5 day" to "5 d." and then can not parse it. Please, ASAP implement at least a manual client language switcher for all English-speaking non-English users who suffer from this nonsense.
Hi condemetrius,
We don't currently offer a language switcher within the app, sorry, but I'll make sure the development team gets this suggestion for review.
In the meantime, can you email us with some details about this repeat issue you're seeing so we can take a closer look?
Thanks!

Please, either implement correct support for languages other than English OR
prevent the app from autoswitching the language upon entering the custom repeat period OR
make a more complex editable selector so that the user doesn't have to rely on the language support at all.
I have the same problem as the topic starter, and a couple of other similar problems. Entering the repeat period in English doesn't help, because the app automatically switches to the system language (Russian in my case) and after that it cannot parse what it did.
Examples:
1. Enter "Every 5 days" in English. It autoswitches to Russian: "Каждый 5 д." When I try to save the task it gives me an error: "Period not recognized. Please see the examples" (or something like that). The task is not saved until I change the repeat period to something the app understands.
Trying to enter the repeat period in correct Russian achieves nothing. It doesn't understand it at all, and doesn't even drop back to anything.
2. Enter "Every month on the 1st Friday" in English. It autoswitches to Russian: "Каждый месяц имя пятница", which is nonsense in itself (it writes "name" instead of "first" - why?). Again, it cannot understand the result of its own actions and gives back the error.
Trying to add the same repeat period in correct Russian doesn't achieve anything. It doesn't give an error, though, just drops back to setting the repeat period to "each month".
Please fix it. While the weird native language support is mildly irritating on the web interface, at least it does what it's supposed to do. It might read something like: "Каждый month on the 1st пятница", but at least works. On the mobile app it doesn't work at all. Adding anything slightly more complex than "once a month" is impossible thanks to the incorrect yet forced system language support.
Please, do something about it. It's one of the main reasons I haven't yet bought the subscription. I want to support RTM, but I 'm not paying for the app getting on my nerves.
