beat84, are you using Vodafone Italy? It shouldn't be necessary to enter the '+' or the country code, but you may need to contact Vodafone to find out if you need to setup anything on your mobile account to accept email-to-SMS messages. We send our messages to phonenumber@sms.vodafone.it, so you could also try emailing that directly to see if the message gets through. Hope this helps!

I am having the same problem; however, emailing the address directly also does not work. I know in the past this worked, so perhaps something is up with vodafone's gateway?

Chris, yes Vodafone may have changed their service if it no longer works -- you might need to contact them and ask if they're still offering the email-to-SMS service, or if there's a problem with it currently.
