"i" Select Keyboard Shortcut

Maybe I'm confused about the "i" shortcut. Description is used to select a task in a list. I've tried this by putting my mouse over a individual (unchecked) task and then clicking the "i" key. But nothing! The other shortcuts seem to work fine, but this one is eluding me. Perhaps I'm confused by the intent, but I assumed it was to select/deselect the highlighted task (check/uncheck) in a toggle sort of function.

kentv999, you might need to press "j" or "k" first to move through the list and get the keyboard selection bar (sorry it's currently a little confusing). Hope this helps!
