Customers in labels?

alexborras says:
What is the best form of putting customers, labels, lists or other? I use the lists for the departments of companies and labels for the type of work: Commercial, Advocacy, Documentation, Research, etc..

The doubt I have it on how to assign the customer associated with the task.

Hi alexborras,
Which method is best will depend a lot on your situation, but it's important to remember that a task can be assigned multiple tags, but can only be in one list.

If a task will always be for one (and only one) customer, but may be for multiple departments, for example, you may want to switch to using lists for the customer and tags for the department.

Hope that helps!

Thank you for your answer. Well, my current organization is:

* Lists> Types of Clients
* Labels> Types of Tasks: Business, Research, Billable, etc..

Since you can assign more than one label per task was thinking of putting 2 additional tags: Client and person assigned to the task.

Perhaps it would be interesting to the Web a few examples of how other people or companies structure their tasks

Hi alexborras,
It does sound like you may prefer tags for your customers.

The Tips & Tricks forum has various posts from fellow users that discuss organizing lists and tags, and we started a (still incomplete, sorry!) series on meeting the team; I described a bit about my own personal setup.
