Can we get a background option for the Chrome plugin?

I just installed RTM from Chrome. One issue, I've got a nice little background picture theme for my Gmail and I can barely read RTM as seen here: http://imgur.com/365uE

Can we have an option to set a solid background color? Even if it were 50% transparent black, it would make it much easier to read.
