Different reminder options for different priorities

Hello everybody. I'm new to this forum. I searched for an answer to my question, before posting, but without success.
This is my question: has anybody ever thought about having the possibility of setting different reminder strategies for different priorities? For example, for a task without priority, I'm happy to receive just one reminder email, on the due date. However, there might be prioritized tasks for which I would like to receive other, more frequent reminders, to make sure I do not forget about it.
Any idea? Thank you!
