Setting a global default due date that overrides any list settings

(closed account) says:
When I'm browsing my task lists, I'll often think of a task that I need to add that may have nothing to do with the list that I'm viewing.

My instinct is to type in the task along with the tags to put it into the correct list right on the "add task" box that's on my screen.

The problem is, if the task doesn't have a due date, I don't enter that tag. And if the list has a duedate in its criteria, it happily adds that date to my task without notifiying or confirming this action with me.

Is there a way to disable this behavior? When I enter a task, it would be inconvenient interruption to my thought process to switch to another task list (say, Inbox) , enter the task, and then switch back to where I was at.

theegooch,
There's no way currently to disable this behavior; sorry. However, you can use the Add Task button in the lower right to use the Add Task screen; this will allow you to see all the properties that will be applied for your task.

Hope that helps!
