Adding task with date inside task

mmasroorali says:
Dear All,
I extremely love the smart date option. But let us say the task is something like to be done on Tuesday for something on another day. Take this example,
tue Prepare note for the meeting on Thursday.
So, you see, the task will be done on Tuesday for the meeting on Thursday. But if I try to add like the above way,
tue Prepare note for the meeting on Thursday.
It becomes a task with title "tue Prepare note for the meeting" to be done on Thursday.
Could you please tell me how I can accomplish the effect task name "Prepare note for the meeting on Thursday" to be done on Tuesday?

Thanks in advance.

Hi mmasroorali,
Whenever possible, the task name should be first. You'll find that putting the task name first works as you expect:

Prepare note for the meeting on Thursday tue

You can also specify the due date with the caret ^, so you could put the due date anywhere. A better example for this is where you don't want a due date, e.g.

Prepare note for the meeting on Thursday ^never

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your response.

Somehow I acquired the habit of always putting the due date first. Looks like I will have to change myself a bit.

Thanks again.
