Managing overdue tasks

Hi,
I have a number of recurring tasks which are being hidden below overdue tasks in my simple due:BeforeNow smartlist.
Is there anyway to ignore the due date when sorting so that tasks sort by priority rather than due date?
Cheers!

Hi andy.lawson,
You can change the sort order of your Smart List to "Priority" by selecting the appropriate option in the "Sort by..." dropdown box.
The due date won't be ignored entirely, but the tasks will be sorted first by Priority, then by Due Date, then by Task Name.
Hope that helps!

Thanks for that Brendan, I'll give it a try!

No - that's no good.
Most of my tasks have no due time, just a due date. Consequently, first thing in the morning any tasks that do have a due time are ordered below other untimed tasks that have gone overdue during the night.
It is my habit to postpone overdue tasks to today and have everything due today ordered by priority.
However, this also selects the overdue timed tasks and postpones them to tomorrow. The task never becomes due, and is never completed.
Is there a misunderstanding in the way I'm using timed tasks?

I managed to capture my problem in a JPEG, but I don't seem to be able to post it here.
I have a pri 1 timed task that went due at midday today, listed below all the other tasks which came due at midnight, even the pri 2 & 3s.
Am I misusing the priorities or the timing mechanism? Thanks!

Hi andy.lawson,
If your list is sorted by Priority, tasks with priority 1 should be shown at the top of the list regardless of the due date. If this isn't what you're seeing, can you contact us so we can take a look?
You won't be able to able to attach your image when submitting the request with the form, but you can attach it with your response once you receive an email from us.
Thanks!

Hmmm - thanks Brendan.
Reckon I've resolved it for now!
