Creating a recurring task with no specified date and deadline
nwr says:
I meet with a colleague one to three times a week and want to keep track of items to discuss using the meeting as a 'task' and adding items to discuss as individual notes (this way it doesn't clog my total task list).
I havent figured out how to make this task repeat without specifying a date (weekly, every mon and wed, etc. or a deadline. I would like the task to simply regenerate each time it has been completed, since my meetings aren't on a set schedule but I constantly have things to add.
My only solution is to manually add the task after it has been completed each time.
Any ideas?

If you have a recurring task with no due date, completing the task will result in a new instance with a due date according to the repeat interval. Maybe you can delete the due date as soon as the new instance appears. Or, you could have the task repeat yearly so that it's at the bottom of your dated tasks.
Either way it doesn't work exactly as you want.

Hi nwr,
You're able to create a repeating task with no due date, but when the next occurrence of the task is created, it will be assigned a due date automatically based on the repeat interval you've chosen (daily, weekly, etc.).
You may be able to do what you need by using a repeat interval such as after 1 day. The task will still have a due date, but new occurrences won't be created until you complete this task. If necessary, you could also remove the due date from each occurrence as its created.
Hope that helps!
