Tag prefixes?

The only other tag I've found to work is the underscore "_". I wish it would take items in square brackets or use !, * or something else. I am trying to use a tag for projects. As it is, I name my tags "p-foobar" and then look for all of "p-" items

Hyphen (-) turns out to work as well, which is what I'm now using for projects. It end up, for whatever reason, just looking a little nicer than underscore.
