Google Calendar - Only show when I have tasks

dbachen says:
I'm trying to integrate with Google Calendar. Initially, I used the iCalendar (Events) feed. All my items showed up as actual events. Then later, I searched and found the button which adds the todo items with the checklist icon.

I much prefer that method.

However, the problem is that the list shows up for every day, even when I have no tasks for that day.

I'd prefer that it only showed an icon for a day which I had tasks, or perhaps showed a different color icon if there was an overdue task.

Any chance anything like that is possible?

I have the same problem. Right now it looks like I have tasks due every single day, regardless of whether or not I do. That's not a very user-friendly way to integrate tasks.

I was thinking, if you NEED to have the icon show up every day so that we can set a task for that day, maybe make it light grey or something so that we can see it and click on it, but it's not as prominently displayed as the icons on days when tasks are due.

I'm sorry, but I'm going wait to use RtM until this feature is changed.

I agree.. VERY annoying that all days have icons, task or no task.

A greyed out icon would be an acceptable solution.

Other than that: Very nice!

Thanks to everyone for their feedback! We agree that it would be great to have different icons depending on whether a day has tasks. We would have loved to have this feature, but unfortunately due to some technical limitations (with both Remember The Milk and Google Calendar) it isn't possible just yet. It's definitely something we hope to support in the future though.

I wish I had this problem!

I've got tasks due everyday plus the overdue one!

A secondary problem with this integration is that your mini-calendar thinks that you have an item everyday, so every date is bolded, rather than just those with events.

Interesting. The items everyday does not show up with the Google Calendar gadget. Both Calendar and Agenda are fine there.

Definitely not nice however in the Calendar full tool.

Hmmm. Just noticed that I had unchecked the RTM calendar in the gadget.

yes, unfortunately i also find it unusable until this feature is implemented. and i don't want to have my tasks public so i cannot use the iCal event method
