Can't find a calendar in ap that allows me to choose due dates

The "calendar" icon that shows when setting a due date doesn't open to actual dates and give me the option of choosing one. Therefore, I have to have another calendar open to input due dates as mo/date/year. I must be doing something wrong. . . .

As rajjan mentioned, it's not currently possible to select the due date from a calendar. This page gives some examples of accepted date and time formats you can use.
