Faster way to enter notes when inputting a task?

Hi there,
I think I'm Doing it Wrong, and looking to get clue'd in here :)
Often times when I'm entering in a new task, I'd like to enter (or paste in) some notes. Currently, I have to do the following:
1) Enter the core task info ("Shop for sister's Nov25 birthday on Nov 10 #shopping")
2) Find task using search, since it'll have disappeared from the current "Today" list.
3) Select task, then hit "y" and enter the note.
I tried entering the notes via smart add (using "---" before the note in the input line), but that didn't work.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi alasnik,
It's not currently possible to enter notes at the time you create the task. Sorry for any inconvenience.
If you're creating tasks in the web app, you may be able to use the link that appears at the top of the page to quickly jump to the task. This link appears in the orange notification area and indicates Task "Pick up milk" added, for example. Clicking on Pick up milk here will jump immediately to the task and prevent you from having to search for it.
Thanks for your feedback on this!

Ah, okay, that's at least a bit of a workaround... thanks!

I am a joiner. Let me know the procedure of sending and finding tasks
Hi partha.chakraborty,
This page gives details on how to send an existing task to a contact.
However, the procedure above applies when you create a new task. You'll see the link to the new task appear at the top of the page, and you can click on it to immediately find the task.
Hope that helps!

This is one of the quirks of RTM that has annoyed me the most over the years.
Sadly, the easiest way to create a task and automatically add notes is to use the add via email function: https://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/email/#inbox
The email contents get added as a note. This is the easiest way I know how to create a task with notes.
For the life of me, I don't know why there isn't a keyboard shortcut to auto-select a recently added task via the web interface.
