How to sync with Outlook and use on an unactivated Android phone

jkmeadows says:
I have an HTC Hero (Android) that I have put Remember the Milk on.

I also put MilkSync on my computer.

However I am not able to sync it with Outlook, the process is not very intuitive. And when I click on the "MilkSync" icon, it does NOT open anything.

This phone is not used on a 3G network and we do not use Wi-Fi at the house.

I was hoping (and, was under the impression) that I could sync this RTM app with Outlook via the USB cable.

Can this be done without having to pay for a membership/subscription?

If so, how?

Hi jkmeadows,
You are able to keep your tasks in sync between your Android device and Outlook on your desktop. However, you won't sync the platforms using a USB cable. Both the Android app and MilkSync for Outlook will sync tasks changes to our servers.

For example, if you add a task to Outlook then perform a sync, the new task will be transferred to our servers (and will be available in the web app). The next time you sync the Android app, this new task will be transferred from our servers to your device.

The Android app is free and allows 1 sync per 24 hours. Additional features are available with a Pro upgrade. MilkSync for Outlook is available exclusively to Pro users.

Hope that helps!
