Move to SD card support (for non-widget users)
I thought I'd try out the new Android app before upgrading to Pro. Good thing I did, as I quickly discovered that it takes up 6.27 Mb on my phone – space I don't have, sadly. (Whoever designed the HTC Desire with so little memory for applications should be shot.)
Question: In the interests of making RTM available to more people, what are the chances of Move to SD card support being added to the Android app?
Yes, it would stop widgets from working, but not everyone uses widgets, and some people are willing to give up widgets in order to at lease use the app.
Of course, there is the concern that it will lead to user confusion or frustration. I've seen a couple of approaches to this: one is to explain the limitation in the description on the Android Market; another is to supply widgets as a separate app, which has the benefit of letting people move the main app to SD card and still use widgets, albeit at the expense of the widgets having to be installed as an add-on.

Hi gemsling,
Unfortunately this is probably not something we'll be able to implement in the near future. This thread gives a bit more detail as to why. We'll keep an eye on this to see if it's something we'd be able to support in the future, though.
Thanks for your feedback!
