1x1 widget

oohyeah says:
Hi, just got introduced to the world of RTM, and liking it so far.

Not sure if it's been suggested already, but I think it'd be great to be able to add a 1x1 widget for Android which opens up to a particular list or view. Kinda like a desktop shortcut.

Hope you can make it happen soon!
THanks.

I'm generally loving the new update but a little sad that one gripe I had previously has not been fixed... maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I have made a badge to my list called "shopping" which I use to store anything I need to pick up at the store... I've also got a badge to my smart list called "gmail" which is an aggregate list of a bunch of others (school, work, personal) which I use to show up in my gmail sidebar gadget.

When I click the gmail badge I get taken to the gmail list screen no matter what state the RTM app was in previously... however I've noticed if I hit home to get to my home screen then I hit the shopping list I am taken right back to the gmail list and I am not switched over to the shopping list as I would expect and wish to be.

I've noticed that whatever state the RTM app was in most recently this is where I will be taken when I hit my shopping badge.... so the badge is essentially just acting as a shortcut to the app... not exactly its intended purpose.

Is there some difference between smart and standard lists that is causing this? I'd like to get it resolved so I can start using these badges the way they were meant to be used!

Hi phlancelot,
When tapping on the badge widget, you should be taken to the corresponding list regardless of whether the list is a standard list or Smart List.

You may want to try re-creating your Shopping widget by long-tapping and dragging it to the trash, then re-adding it to your home screen.

If you're still seeing this behavior, would you be able to contact us so we can get some additional details?

Thanks!

Thanks for the update Brendan... I played around with it a bit and still am having the same problem... now it seems to be going the other way ! I can't switch back to my gmail list... its like the app gets it in its head to display one list and not the other over a short period of use... it seems when I come back to it after a while it has no problem switching, but then again won't switch to the other if I select it shortly after. My phone has been a bit clunky of late so I'm going to reflash my ROM anyways and try to refresh everything - if that doesn't solve it I'll get in touch via the link you provided.

Thanks again!
