The display of the URL property in Opera has been added to our list to investigate. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
Clicking on the URL itself should open the webpage in your browser; clicking on the URL icon (the small chain link) should open the URL field for editing. The behavior you're seeing may be related to the first issue you mentioned. You should be able to go to the URL by clicking on one of the characters of the URL itself, rather than one of the boxes that are displayed between the characters.
