Quick Add loses focus

owyn says:
Testing from Firefox 2 on WXP Pro SP2.

Added to "Add to RTM!" button to links bar in FF2.

Clicking on button causes Quick Add dialog box to very briefly flash on the screen and then disappear.

Need to go to Task Bar to bring it's Window to front.

owyn, thanks for reporting this. Do you have any extensions or third-party software installed that might be blocking or otherwise affecting the behaviour of pop-ups?

Hmmm. Maybe. Using Adblock Plus plus a few others.

I am doing a clean install of Ubuntu 6.10 later today. I will test this there before adding any of my standard extensions. If it works off the base install I can retest as I add extensions.

Later.

This problem does NOT occur in FF1.5 with no extensions other than default Dom Inspector.

Going through the rest of the test cases tonight while I set up a new multi-boot multi-Linux test system. FF2 base test slightly delayed, I am having arguments with Ubuntu about exactly what video card I have installed.

More info, when I have isolated the condition that triggers the symptom.

DIIK.

I have not been able to make this problem occur in anything except the one system (WXP Pro SP2, FF2).

I am currently testing FF2 with EVERY add-on disabled.

Same symptom.

Not a big issue, in most cases I end up adding tasks via GPHP gadget. And I am spending more of my time on systems / os that do work.

Class it as a minor local problem.

I am actually having exactly the same problem. I would add, though, that it isn't the just the RTM bookmarklet that has this problem-- I have the same problem with my Google Bookmarklet.

I've posted the problem on the Mozilla forums, but haven't heard anything back.
