Google Reader Problem

(closed account) says:
I searched the forum, and I found posts concerning the use of Remember The Milk (RTM) with Google Reader. However, I've followed the instruction laid out on those posts (i.e., published my list as public), and I can't seem to get my Atom feeds to be recognized with the latest incarnation of Google Reader. More specifically, I'm getting the following error when I try to add my feed to Google Reader:

No feed available for "http://www.rememberthemilk.com/atom/username/123456/"

If someone could provide some assistance as to why this is happening or how to get around this, I would be greatly appreciated.

levercc, if you can email us at [old address removed] with the Atom feed URL that you're experiencing problems subscribing to, we'd be happy to check this out on our end. Thanks!

I e-mailed the Remember The Milk Team (RTM) with the feeds that were not working. However, I tried them again today at work, and I noticed that they're now working. I'm not sure if there is a delay between when you publish a feed and when it actually goes public, but everything seems to be working now. In any case, I'm now using the RTM Google Gadget on my Personalized Homepage, and it works great!

I believe the delay may be in Google Reader itself. It make take some time to crawl/discover your feed and start updating. And even after items appear on the list, updates occur frequently, but not instantly.

I have published one of my lists and can successfully pull it up in Google Reader. However, when I try to pull up an atom link from a smart list I continually get an error. Is there a way to publish a smart list, the same way as lists?

I haven't tried in another reader yet, so this very well could be a google issue. If so then I plan on switching readers because it would be great to have a subscription to some of my more common smart lists.

erik, unfortunately it's not currently possible to publish Smart Lists, so the feeds will only work with readers that support authentication (I'm not sure if Google Reader supports this yet).

I don't think the Google Reader supports authentication. I tried suggestions found on RTM's site, specifying the username:password, and Google Reader still fails.

Allowing SmartLists to be published would be VERY cool!!
