I cannot speak for Serengo, but I know that at work, using XPSP2 and FF1507, there is a long lag if I mouseover a list as the screens on the right update, slowly, to show the tasks I have just moused over.

Usually, restarting FF seems to help the issue. If not, I usually (shudder) switch to IE or (better) wait till I am at home with my Mac, where I don't see the issue in 10.4 with Camino or FF.

I usually use IE 6 on Win XP Pro SP2. 2 Gigs RAM on a Pentium 4. I also use FF1.5.0.6 and it seems to be the same there. Connection at home is Cable (around 2 MB) and office is a T3. Both places I see a lag.

Hmm, this is quite strange.

For anyone experiencing this issue, are there other web applications that you typically have open at the same time in your browser? (Gmail, etc?) This would be helpful to know. Thanks!

I do have Gmail open all the time, and now I also have Google Reader open most of the time, too.

I used to be a Bloglines user, so maybe Google Reader has a behind the scenes impact? I switched when the revamped their interface this month.

I'm having this problem with IE 6 and Firefox 1.5.0.7 on Windows XP. Task Manager is open at the same time and shows 100% CPU utilisation for the browser at the time of the lag.

The problem also occurs when changing lists, and CPU usage maxes out for around five to ten seconds. This is far more apparent in Firefox.

The machine I am running on has a 2.8GHz CPU, so that's a lot of instructions being processed.

Ran and mddperkins, thanks for these details -- we'll check this out and see if we can track down what's causing this.

mddperkins, do you usually have any other web apps open at the same time as RTM?

OK, so I tested it without other web applications open in Firefox's safe mode, and the app works great. It is still somewhat slow in Internet Explorer but nowhere near as pronounced as it was in Firefox with the extensions running.

I will have to try to find out which extension is contributing to this tremendous slowdown, as it has only happened in the past month or so.

mddperkins, if you find out which extension it is, we'd love to know :)
