How come there is no 'free' version of the Android App?
yonah says:
RTM folks - I noticed in the release notes today that there are both free and 'pro' versions of the iPad and iPhone apps, but Android is only available as a pro app - is there any reason for this?
Originally, both the iPhone app and the Android app were available only to Pro users. Last year, we made the free version of the iPhone app available. This post from our blog contains the announcement.
We decided to wait and see how things went with the free version of the iPhone app before making any changes to the Android app.
Hope that helps!

I was really happy when iphone app became free.
Then, I started to heavily use the service when I was in mobility.
I recently moved to Nexus S Android, and I am now really disappointed that the free version does not exist on Android. As a result, I do not use the service in mobility.
Thinking how I could move to an other service provider
@ Brendan, hope this feedback will fill the "wait and see" state you are in. The position seems inconsistent to me.

Couple thoughts for RTM to consider...
It's (obviously) your call, but not offering Android users the same features--I consider "free" a feature--can make it look like you think of Android users as secondary to your iPhone users...It may not be your intention, but it makes me feel less appreciated. I'm not implying that RTM should always play fair w/ Android and iPhone, but I do think that playing fair is appropriate when the feature is not related to the capabilities/features of the platform.
Second, I hope your wait and see approach takes into consideration the different demographic makeup of the iPhone/Android users. What you "see" with the iPhone users probably won't directly translate over to the Android users. If I'm not mistaken, the pricing model is an area where the difference between these demographics is most apparent.
Thanks for having such a great product!
