Too heavy !!

softark says:
Recently your site is *VERY* heavy and I frequently receive an error message after a long while waiting the response.

"Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): Unknown error."

What's going on your site? Too much load?

Anyway I have to give up using RTM if the situation remains the same. I can not post my TODOs to a service that can't bring back them to me.

OK, it might be the problem with the Google Gear. I'll try disabling it

Ah, that's it.
I disabled Google Gears on Chrome browser, and RTM is working very fine!

Thank you jamesr404 and brendan.

I really love RTM and I rely on it very much. So it's very frustrating when I can't get to it.

BTW, it was not Google Gears that caused my trouble. I don't know what it is, but I couldn't access RTM for the last half a day or so even after I had disabled the Google Gears.

Actually, count to think of it, it might have been an issue with your DNS or Proxy server.

If it happens again;
1) Flush your DNS cache (ipconfig /flushdns from a DOS command prompt, if you're using Windows).

2) Bypass/change your HTTP proxy. (For instance in Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN settings, uncheck "use a proxdy server". Close your browser and RTM to make sure it takes effect.

3) Try another internet connection to avoid your ISPs proxy.

softark,
If you have any further issues, we'd love to hear some details so we can track down any issues. Would it be possible to submit a Logging In & Loading issue report via our support system (if you haven't done so already)?

Just select your issue from the list on the left, and follow the steps shown. If your issue isn't listed, click on "I'd like to report a new issue". Please let us know when you notice any connection/loading problems and when those seem to be resolved.

Your report should provide all the info that we need to investigate further, but we'll be in touch via email if we require any more details.

Thanks!

Thank you jamers404 and andrewski,

Yep, DNS or Proxy might be the cause.
I still have the same problem when I try to access RTM from my desktop in my office, but I have no problem here at home.
So, I have to check the difference between the 2 environments.

> 1) Flush your DNS cache (ipconfig /flushdns from a DOS command prompt, if you're using Windows).

OK, I'll try it later in my office.
I use Windows Vista 64-bit in my office, and Windows XP at home.

> 2) Bypass/change your HTTP proxy. (For instance in Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN settings, uncheck "use a proxdy server". Close your browser and RTM to make sure it takes effect.

I don't think I have changed the default settings regarding the proxy. But I'll check it also.
Is Chrome browser under the same conditions as IE ?

3) Try another internet connection to avoid your ISPs proxy.

I don't think it's ISP's issue, because I use the same one in my office and at home although they are not in the same LAN.

Anyway, thank you for your concerns.
