Backdating completion dates

This has been suggested before - 2 years ago... see post below.

It would be very useful to be able to backdate completion dates.

Sometimes people forget to check off tasks and when it's finally checked off the time log gets screwed up. This very annoying, especially when the RTM "completed" lists are used for documentation purposes and a correct time log is needed.

Surprised this has not been addressed yet.

I'm sure this must have been suggested before, but I can't find it on searching...

It would be really useful to be able to backdate completion dates.

e.g. I have a number of repeating events that I occasionally forget to tick completion on at the time I do them. When I do then complete them they then repeat at time x after the day I marked them completed rather than when I actually did them, putting things out of kilter.

It would be really nice to have an option so that I could manually (obviously optionally - the current behaviour is perfect as default) set a completion date when I mark the task completed...

Unfortunately it's not currently possible to edit the completed date; sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for your feedback on this.
