status of sent tasks

If a thread exists already, I apologize; it didn't show up on a search.
I'm a member of a small program committee of five members. I want to be able to assign tasks to other members of the team and I want them to be able to assign tasks to me. My reading of the on-line documentation leads me to believe that is easily done in this product. What I cannot determine is how to determine the status of a sent task. Will I be automatically notified it is complete? Or can I check the status of a sent task?
I cannot test this out on my own and I don't want to involve the other program committee members until I have something they can use.
Nicely defined registration interface. I like the character-by-character disambiguation status for the user name. Although I use 4/4/2011, I prefer 4 April 2011. It looks like a nice product. If I can use it for assigning and monitoring assigned tasks, I'll get the group to sign up for pro membership (we need up to the minute status syncing).

When you send a task to a contact, the task will appear in your contact's Inbox list, and will be moved to your Sent list. You will not receive an automatic notification that the task has been completed, but you can view the status of the task by viewing your Sent list.
You could also use search criteria to view only tasks that have been sent to a particular contact. For example, the following search will show only tasks that have been sent to a contact named "bobtmonkey":
to:bobtmonkey
You could further narrow this down by including the name of the task in the search.
Hope that helps!

Thanks. Not the best solution but doable with a small set of people. One would hope that the sense of a sent task will evolve to the concept of a delegated task where one action would delegate the task, set a deadline for completion, set a date for status checking, and be automatically informed when a delegated task is completed.
One could envision a task split into subtasks, each of which were delegated to different entities. When all the delegated subtasks are completed, the automatic responses would automatically set the encompassing task complete.
The products appears adequate for my group. Now I just have to get them to join in. Sometimes it's like herding cats.
